Home gives a small business a quick read on cash, open work, and what needs attention.
Problem
Small businesses are often pushed toward a choice between fragile spreadsheets and accounting suites built for much larger teams.
What we built
- A desktop app that works without internet, keeps your books on your computer, lets you switch between companies, and uses familiar checkbook-style screens
- A simple list of accounts, a small review inbox for bank transactions, alerts when your books need attention, and reports based on either cash or accrual accounting
- Everyday money-in and money-out tools: create invoices, track bills, pay vendors, and keep customer and vendor contacts in one place
- Helpful tools for the work that often gets complicated: simple payroll, sales tax tracking, 1099 reporting, job-level profit and loss, and check printing
- Practical tools: search across the company and export a CPA-ready package of your books
- A Pro tier for online backup, receipt scanning, bank feeds, a mobile companion, bookkeeper access, and AI assistance
Outcome
Steward is being shaped around a smaller promise: make the weekly bookkeeping loop understandable, affordable, and easy to own. Features are intentionally chosen to keep the process understandable while still offering modern convenience when it adds real value.
